The much awaited KA- JAM (Kabataan Jobs and Alternatives to Migration) is almost here, and definitely I’m excited to be part of it. The event, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the National Youth Commission (NYC), also marks the culmination of the United Nation’s International Year of the Youth, this aims to be one of the mediums of his Excellency Mr. President Benigno S. Aquino III to reach the Filipino people especially the youth and the newly graduates in tackling important issues like migration priorities and youth employment.

Not only our very own PNOY will be there but more than 500 guests mainly coming from government agencies, youth group, NGOs, employer’s group and many more are expected to participate in the said event, which will be held on 12 August 2011, Friday that will start by 8:00 am and ends in 8:00 p.m. at the 2nd floor, Function Room 5, SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City.
This event is supported by the Spanish-funded Millennium Development Goals Achievement Fund and implemented jointly by the ILO, International Organization for Migration (IOM), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) with the DOLE as lead implementing partner.
