Easier said than done

It is passed 7 already and everyone in the house is done with there dinner. What I love about my big sisters is that they also eat snacks after dinner. Sometimes chips, sometimes cookies (heavenly made cookies) but mostly fruits.

Out in the blues my sister asked me to stand up from my sit and stop watching youtube for the meantime. She said  “try doing the watermelon for me”. So I went ahead and open the fridge. Boy got shocked when I saw the fruit. Its humongous! I can tell you, if you put the whole thing in your tummy and cover it with a cloth. people will think that your conceiving triplets.

Going back, so I went ahead and rolled the fat fruit top facing up. I was having a hard time figuring out in which angle to cut the round fruit. I was about to cut the fruit when she stopped me before the knife touches the skin. She then rolled the fat fruit sidewards and then slice it in half in a breeze. Geez! I never thought that preparing fruits is that complicated. Another kitchen lesson learned from the big sister.

How about you? Does your sister also teaches you in the kitchen?any experiences about having difficulties in preparing a simple snack

  • How sweet! I wish I had sisters that would help me around the kitchen. I have 3 brothers, which is helpful in lots of other ways, I suppose!
