Animefanatics at Chingay
Cosplay or short for costume play started in Japan; I think the very first cartoon that was released by Japan was Astroboy. Going back, As Singapore waited to embrace the year of the Tiger me and my sister is in the other end of the Chingay taking pictures of the cosplayers. I was starstruck how people pushed efforts just to brought to life their idolized characters.
All the details were copied, from make up to wigs, to contact lenses to props. Everything was flawless. I’ve caught lots of anime fans in costumes for sure. Here are some pictures, you might want to check them out, you might recognized who’s anime character they look like.
